Lessons Learned

If flowers teach us beauty,

Sunrise life,

Water thirst,

Noise silence,

And rain sorrow,

If clouds teach us hope,

Airplanes earth,

Stars insignificance,

Darkness fear,

And candles light,

If paper teaches us words

Lipstick kisses

Moonlight sleep

And pillows dreams,

Then you, woman,

You teach that all these lessons matter.

You teach love.

  1. What I love about this poem is the the lesson, that you’ve mentioned, that things around us teach – they’re really well thought out.
Your writing conveys a sense of effortlessness and that is a feat.
    How are you, Vincentiu?

    1. So, you have painted your nails!

I am thin and thinning a little more every day but otherwise I am reasonably well. Will visit a doctor again next week.

      How are you?

      1. Good to know that you’re doing well.
As for me, I have a lot of free time on my hands these days so I’m catching up on my reading and drawing (and painting my nails :D).

        Hope everything goes well.
        Feel better, Vincentiu.

  2. When I read your poems, I try to look for something that could be improved upon to help you become a better writer… only I can never find a flaw! You are such a naturally talented writer, but you probably already knew that! 🙂 Keep up the good work!
P.S. How is that book you were writing going?

      1. I’m waiting for the letter that confirms/denies my acceptance into the next college course (Crawford College of Art and Design), but I have to wait for the Leaving Certs students to get their results which means by the time I know, I only have one to two weeks maximum to find accommodation!

If I do get a place in Crawford I’ll be very happy! 🙂
