‘Hello, Mrs. Smith?’

‘Yes?’

‘This is Doctor Malone. Your husband does not have terminal cancer. Our lab messed up some tests. Tried to call him but he did not answer.’

She burst into tears.

‘There, there,’ the doctor said, ‘Mistakes do occur.’

‘My husband killed himself Tuesday!’

Doctor Malone fainted.
