I wish I could throw my arms around everything,
The world, and life, and you,
And hold it close and not let go,
And hold it tighter than a tree
Holds to the earth during a storm
And while I hold on to the world and life and you
I wish the moment would last forevermore
And one heartbeat would take eternally,
And my thought would stretch and stretch,
And never bend, or break, or end, or change,
But stretch and stretch towards infinity,
While in one everlasting breath
I take in everything:
Time,
Space,
Love,
Life,
The universe,
And you.
Absolutely beautiful! Sorry for being somewhat intrusive, but have you visited the doctor yet? I hope all is well for you.
I have. No final diagnosis yet, though. It will take a few more weeks at least, since I will probably have to do a biopsy. Thanks for asking and sorry for a tardy reply, but grandfather just died. Yes, the poor boy is besieged by misfortunes!
No need to apologize! I am very sorry for your loss, when my Grandfather died I fell into a rather deep depression. Sometimes just letting emotions flourish is the best thing, just some advice!
Stunning!
Beautiful !!!
Reminds me of the Beatles “Hang on to what you got”
Hold it close and not let go!! 👍 😉
Great art piece………..!
And well said…….!
“one hearbeat would take eternity” Beautiful.
It reminds me of a Picasso painting. Awesome.
Awesome! How are you?
Still alive. Cough somewhat lessened. Upcoming medical investigations in the weeks to come. Thanks for asking and sorry for my late reply, but grandfather died.
My deepest and sincerest condolence. Life is short. I hope the investigations show negative. You must stay around to string words together and make someone’s life happier for reading your work. 🙂

Beautiful poem – love the end especially!!
Interesting words.
great….creation
Painful. A huge hug to you, fellow writer!
That must be the most beautiful poem you ever wrote. Except for that secret one you hide deep down in your drawer because it’s too emotional and deep to publish.
Alas Julie, grandfather died.
There is so much brilliance in your writing, Vincent. You are one gifted soul.
This is so beautiful, Vincent. And as toddsbal said earlier, don’t want to be intrusive, but hope you will tell us how you are doing, if you’ve seen your doctor. We are concerned. Take care.
Still alive for now. More visits are necessary for a diagnosis. Sorry for late reply but alas, grandfather died.
No need to apologize. I’m so sorry about your grandfather! Oh my gosh, & so sorry you have to deal with that at the same time as your health concerns. This has to be incredibly stressful. I wish you the best of luck with your medical tests or whatever is needed. Take care of yourself as well as you can. I’m also send up some prayers for you.
Lovely, although I detect some deep sadness lies behind your words.
very nice poem….love each n every words.
eagerness to live nd love, god bless u vincent
Yet another very beautifully composed poem! 🙂
I hope you’re okay. It sounds like you’ve had a tough time lately. I got back into my blogging recently and the first post of yours I saw in the reader was this one:

I’ve wanted to comment since but found it difficult to know what to say. I wish I could offer advice or a cure, but if you really do have something as serious as cancer I guess all I can offer is my hope. Hope that its not as bad as you may think. Hope that if there is something wrong you can recover swiftly and fully. I wish you my very best and hope everything turns out okay for you!
