Short and frail and sad and 22 and going mad in a shadowy attic. Such misfortune…

I write as a way of life: stories, blogs, articles, almost-poems. I'm a freelancer, a vegetarian, and I listen to Leonard Cohen and enjoy French films. We are dying a little more with each new day we live, so shouldn't we make the most of our time?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! 🙂
Thank you, Irish boy.
Ease come out of your attic, and enjoy ur day! Happy birthday.
Oh,how I love this! So sad and lovely.
Happy birthday Vincent
Happy Birthday, Vincent! <|=)
Hope you enjoyed your mad day in the attic… it doesn't sound that unfortunate, with the exception of being sad.
So cheer up! 😀
I’m not sad anymore. I’m hopeful. 🙂
Aye, that is good. 🙂
I hope you had a rich and meaningful birthday, Vincent.
I ate a whole pizza all by myself and then felt slightly unwell because I have a rather small stomach. 🙂
Yay !!! Happy Birthday!!!
Happy Birthday Vincent. 22 is wondrous. The expectations of your elders is behind you and the journey before you can take you in which ever direction you choose to go. Watched a great Ted talk today by Brene Brown on how being vulnerable (ie being prepared to tell people something real about yourself) is actually a pretty remarkable strength, so I’m sure you’ll go far.
Thank you. I think being vulnerable is a good thing for a writer. For his readers, at least. 🙂
Happy Birthday!!! 🙂 A greeting. Antonio
I tip my hat to you, Italian architect.
Cheers to you! 😉 Antonio
Happy Birthday, from my basement to your attic.
PS: I’m shaving bald soon.
I support this shaving decision enthusiastically. Just make sure to keep your coloring, or people may mistake you for a cancer patient.
22 is a good number…Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday, Vincent!
Make a difference indeed… 😛
Happy Birthday!!! (and many more…)
Happy Birthday Vincent!!
Happy 22nd 😀 Hope you have a year that’s as awesome as your stories! *Sends you a hat that makes you invisible. A hat that is better than Bilbo’s ring and Harry’s cloak*
I’ll wear that hat and sneak into your residence and steal your diary. So think twice about what you’re doing. 😛
Unless you’re willing to go through my garbage can and stick torn pages together, I shouldn’t have a problem
Happy birthday Vincent! I’ve been following your blog for about a year now and you’ve brought me quite a bit of happiness with your writing and your resilience in your craft. Sadness is often the most difficult emotion to cope with but I hope my enjoyment of your writing will cheer you up a little. I love Bob Dylan too by the way.
He brings you joy, too? That talented hatted boy. 😀
When two pretty women tell you you bring them joy, you really should have no cause for sadness! 😉
I blush. You are right.
I’d send you flowers, but they would wither on the way…
Happy birthday, Vincent! Many, many happy wishes for your new year. 🙂
Happy B’day Boy with the Hat, don’t be sad….!
22, very well done.
Happy Birthday, stranger on the internet. hahaha
Happy because this means we’re a little closer in age now. 😉 From my solitude to yours, Vincent, Happy Birthday.
We’re writers Jessica, we’re forever young. Two cherries sharing the same stalk…
Happy Birthday! New year and time for new adventures! Enjoy!
Happy Birthday, have a wonderful day. Be kind to yourself.
But I heard that..
Short (yet never short of aspirations),
Frail (but possessing the mightiest weapon of mankind),
Feeling sad (because you have experienced happiness before),
and will be graced with the 22nd year (of insight)
and going mad in a shadowy attic (in the world of equal madness).
Well, this could indeed sound like some misfortune…
And ohyes, Happy birthday the boy with multiple hats 🙂
have a good one Vincent… was not sure if it was the title of your next best seller or just another happy day have a good one anyhow.
Poor sad boy! Many Happy returns for your Day… Remember… all good things come in short, frail, mad packages 😉
(By the way, do you know you share a star sign with my very real nephew? So now you are adopted for life!)
Happy Birthday..sorry I missed your day…sad about the pizza..lol..You are Virgo like my son…his birthday is just days away
Happy Birthday old soul in a new hat!
I wish you to fulfill that dream you keep writing about here. Oh, yes, you’re right, two dreams. And then I wish you to ind another dream to achieve.
Bear hug in return.
