Happy Birthday To… Me!

Happy Birthday

Short and frail and sad and 22 and going mad in a shadowy attic. Such misfortune…

  1. Happy Birthday, Vincent! <|=)
Hope you enjoyed your mad day in the attic… it doesn't sound that unfortunate, with the exception of being sad.
    So cheer up! 😀

  2. Happy Birthday Vincent. 22 is wondrous. The expectations of your elders is behind you and the journey before you can take you in which ever direction you choose to go. Watched a great Ted talk today by Brene Brown on how being vulnerable (ie being prepared to tell people something real about yourself) is actually a pretty remarkable strength, so I’m sure you’ll go far.

  3. Happy 22nd 😀 Hope you have a year that’s as awesome as your stories! *Sends you a hat that makes you invisible. A hat that is better than Bilbo’s ring and Harry’s cloak*

      1. Unless you’re willing to go through my garbage can and stick torn pages together, I shouldn’t have a problem

  4. Happy birthday Vincent! I’ve been following your blog for about a year now and you’ve brought me quite a bit of happiness with your writing and your resilience in your craft. Sadness is often the most difficult emotion to cope with but I hope my enjoyment of your writing will cheer you up a little. I love Bob Dylan too by the way.

      1. When two pretty women tell you you bring them joy, you really should have no cause for sadness! 😉

  5. But I heard that..
    You are
Short (yet never short of aspirations),
Frail (but possessing the mightiest weapon of mankind),
Feeling sad (because you have experienced happiness before),
and will be graced with the 22nd year (of insight)
and going mad in a shadowy attic (in the world of equal madness).

Well, this could indeed sound like some misfortune…

  6. Poor sad boy! Many Happy returns for your Day… Remember… all good things come in short, frail, mad packages 😉

(By the way, do you know you share a star sign with my very real nephew? So now you are adopted for life!)

If you leave me a comment I will send you an invisible gift.
