While visiting a whorehouse abroad, old Thomas found his long-lost daughter.
She took him to her chamber and undressed. She did not recognize him, and he pretended not to recognize her. Excusing himself, he paid her and went out without doing anything.

I write as a way of life: stories, blogs, articles, almost-poems. I'm a freelancer, a vegetarian, and I listen to Leonard Cohen and enjoy French films. We are dying a little more with each new day we live, so shouldn't we make the most of our time?

when a parent does something, bad things may happen. But when a parent does nothing, whorehouses are created for both of them….
I think I agree with that. But maybe shame and disappointment overcame that old man.
I hope, but I wondered why he stayed to see her undress?
Maybe he was so taken aback by her milkness that he could not get himself to leave.
If so. he truly needs help…
Geez, I bet he cried. What a sad ironic story!
Father of the year, clearly.
Dark side. “Salty tears”, love it.
For a moment there, I thought he was going to give in! o.o

Damn, 50 words are not enough for this one.
I was going to say I agree, but actually I think the succinct nature of the 50-word story really gives this power!
I think the Irish poetess is right about this. Mind you, she purchased a new camera, and now she goes around taking pictures of fancy things!
You, sir, really know how to pack 50 words with what takes many 10s and 100s as many.
Kip did I say how awesome your hat is?
Yessir, you did 🙂 And I thank you kindly! Will have a new one in the near future, too.
Oh…:( That one is emotional…
Parents love their children unconditionally though. And that’s the beauty of this relationship.
